International Wire Transfers

International wire transfers are a fast, safe, and inexpensive way to send money overseas. You can choose to wire funds on a periodic or occasional basis to locations around the globe. Transfer requests can be made via mail, by facsimile, or in person. In order to expedite these requests, it is recommended that you contact the beneficiary’s financial institution to obtain their preferred wiring and routing instructions before submitting your request.

Outgoing International Wire Transfers

Please note that, for your safety, BFSFCU has significant security procedures in place for wire transfer requests.  We are committed to begin processing complete e-mail, fax, and e-wire requests within 1 business day of receipt.  Any number of things can increase the time required to process the request, such as insufficient information, verification measures for account security, or the number of intermediary banks.  If you have an urgent wire transfer request, please visit one of our branches by 2 pm on any normal business day to have the request expedited.  Please also note that funds sent by wire transfer may take up to 3 days to arrive at their final destination and take this into consideration when planning to send funds by wire transfer.
