The Foreign Exchange Department is excited to offer BFSFCU members the first prepaid foreign currency Chip and PIN card in the United States. Cash Passport™ is a re-loadable, prepaid MasterCard® available in Euros or Great British Pounds. Chip and PIN cards are the primary form of payment for purchases and ATM-use in many European countries.

Chip and PIN FAQs

• Chip and PIN cards are widely accepted in many European countries
• The Personal Identification Number (PIN) associated with the embedded Chip is required to complete Chip-based transactions
• There is no fee from the Foreign Exchange department to withdraw local currency (some ATM operators may charge a withdrawal fee or set withdrawal limits)
• Personal information is not stored on the Cash Passport, reducing the risk of identity theft from card loss or theft.
